I created this site to run on ProfileGrid, which is an API for WordPress developed by a company called MetaGauss. If I had a budget to startup with other tha my own modest funds, I would have chosen something more robust. We might switch once we get a grant. Once that happens, there are some ways to export whole communities to the latest and the greatest. I don’t think that is necessary at this point though.
One thing I’ve been working on was user blogs. I envision users of two general types – (1)people who want to report on their progress on their personal goals (like me), and (2)professionals in weight loss and exercise who want to share opinions and insights. The emphasis will be on this second category during the first year as I reach out for participants. In both cases being able to post multiple photos and videos may be desirable. Unfortunately, MetaGauss says the ProfileGrid blogs are only capable of text and one photo. Fortunately, there is a workaround for that.

As in the example above, if you want more than one photo, or you want to post a video, just add the video link from YouTube or another source, to your blog. Submit your blog and then contact me to tell me with what changes you’d like to your post. I can add other photos and images on request. I have to approvae all the posts either way. I will do this until we have twenty or more bloggers participating. After that, there will be enough participation to consider a more expensive platform. Thanks for your patience as we grow.
